There's a lot happening down there! Your reproductive organs are there, the lower part of your intestine is there, your urinary bladder lives there, and its all surrounded by different muscles. Protecting all that are the bones of your pelvis. When your doctor is doing a pelvic exam, he or she is primarily checking your reproductive organs. If you know where all these are, it will help you to understand what's happening during your pelvic exam.
